Why I Created EZ PZ Parenting (And Why You’re Here)
My story

As a divorced teacher turned corporate professional—with a lifelong love of learning, educating, and improving just about everything—I never imagined that at 33 I’d find both the love of my life and a tiny human growing inside me… all within the same year. Talk about a plot twist.
I had pretty much made peace with the idea that motherhood might not be in the cards for me. Then one day, I found myself frantically calling my now-husband, crying (the dramatic kind), to tell him we were going to be parents. Subtle? Not exactly.
Once the initial shock wore off—well, mostly wore off—we kicked into high gear. Suddenly, life became a rapid-fire checklist: we need a bigger place, we should probably own it, we need doctors, a hospital, appointments, a completely new diet, and oh yeah… we should name the baby. No pressure. Week four energy.
Growing up as an only child surrounded by cousins, I was never short on family—but I also didn’t have much firsthand exposure to pregnancy or a circle of new moms to guide me through it. So naturally, I did what I do best: I researched. And researched. And then researched some more.
Thankfully, my background in teaching (and what I like to call my “honorary degree in over-preparing”) made me very comfortable diving into the deep end. I became that person—the one comparing every product, reading every study, and optimizing everything from nutrition to nursery setup. By the end of it, I genuinely felt like I deserved a PhD in pregnancy… or at least a certificate.
The funny thing about dedicating nine months of your life to learning everything you possibly can is that once it’s over, you’re left with all this knowledge, all these tried-and-true products, and a surprising amount of “why didn’t anyone tell me this sooner?!”
So this is my way of sharing it—passing along what I’ve learned through trial, error, and a whole lot of late-night Googling. Because if I can make this journey even a little easier (or at least more relatable) for someone else, it’s worth it.
And honestly? It all comes back to what I’ve come to love most in this world: being a mom. Even on three hours of sleep.
